Christy Sutherland is Senior Associate at Renee’ Grant-Williams’ Voice Studio in Nashville, TN. She earned a Music Business degree from Belmont University. She is an award-winning singer/songwriter. Her awards include an Emmy nomination and four Diamond Awards for Christian Country Female Vocalist of the Year as well as an Absolutely Gospel award for Traditional Song of the Year and a coveted BMI award. As a songwriter, Christy has achieved major success, having over 50 recordings done of her songs by top artists.

An associate of Renee’ Grant-Williams since 1995, Christy’s clients include Kim Carnes, Julie Roberts, Julie Reeves, Jason Michael Carroll, Lindsey Haun, Matraca Berg, Pam Tillis, Carly Pearce, Joseph Habedank, Jeff Hanna (The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band), Red Roots and Jenny Beth Willis (American Idol).


Christy stresses breath control, vocal power, stamina and how to sing with emotion. She teaches singers how to become “one with the song,” truly pouring their heart and soul into a tune. Christy also educates performers on vocal care, helping them to strengthen and use their voice for years to come without fear of vocal damage.
